About Us

Equipped with 30 years of experience in CAD, the Founders of ActCAD gathered their mutual initiative and first ventured into developing one of its earliest maiden CAD Software - Power DraftCAD in the 1990s. It was a DXF based light weight CAD software supported on Windows OS. Encouraged with its success, Jytra Technology Solutions Pvt. Ltd (India) under the aegis of Jytra Group of Companies was established in 2006 with a focus to develop custom CAD Software. This followed with becoming a Commercial Member of IntelliCAD Technology Consortium, USA. ActCAD, based on IntelliCAD Technology launched a fully packed CAD Software that was high on features and low on price for the Global Market. The driving force behind this was, "Not all Good Products Need to be Unnecessarily Expensive". As on today, we have proud customers in over 103 countries.

Our brand name JYTRA is extracted from the Sanskrit word Jytra Yatra the meaning of which is victorious journey. ActCAD Standard

ActCAD Standard is mainly suitable for 2D Drafting. It can view 3D Models but cannot create. It has all commands and tools to create any professional project in 2D. Custom Programs can be developed and used.

ActCAD Professional

ActCAD Professional is suitable for 2D Drafting and 3D Modeling (Unparametric). It can view, edit and create 3D Models. Custom Programs can be developed and used. Many extra commands available compared to Standard.

ActCAD Prime

ActCAD Prime has all features of Professional with capabilities to read Revit and IFC files. AEC entities like doors, windows, walls, roofs, etc. can be created easily. Custom Programs can be developed and used.

ActCAD Nesting

ActCAD Nesting is software meant to create a layout of various parts from given raw material with the best possible fit for maximum material utilization. This software is useful in sheet metal, textile, leather, fashion, footwear, and many other industries.

ActCAD Map Drafter

ActCAD Map Drafter is meant for Map digitization projects. It has all features of Standard in addition to special Map commands. Custom Programs can be developed and used.

Knowledge Based Engineering/Knowledge Management (KBE/KM):

KBE/KM is a methodology to preserve all the knowledge gained from experience in software. Knowledge can be captured from people, process and other resources and can be fed into software which will remember and readily deliver back when it is needed. Jytra Engineering Services is offearing this service using Unigraphics Knowledge Fusion (UG KF).

Prototyping & RPT:

Jytra Engineering Services has tie-ups with few manufacturing companies in India who can quickly build and deliver parts with right quality. We can build prototypes for your designs based on the drawings supplied. We can also provide Rapid Prototyping (RPT) parts based on input 3D models/STL files. We use 3D printing & Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) technologies to produce RPT parts.

Engineering Changes:

Most of the parts, sub-assemblies and assemblies in engineering companies undergo constant changes. All those engineering changes to be incorporated in 3D models, assemblies and drawings based on authorization documents like ECNs (Engineering Change Notes), ERDs (Engineering Revision Documents), EWOs (Engineering Work Orders) etc. We can analyze the above text based documents and incorporate the changes along with revision history captured.

CAM Services:

We can develop the machining strategy for complex parts and prepare programs both for 3 axes and 5 axes machines. We optimize the programs in order to reduce overall machining time. Post processor development is our new service addition under CAM segment.

Heating, Ventilation & Air-Conditioning (HVAC) Drawings:

Jytra Engineering Services is specialized HVAC Shop Drawings and Coordination Drawings. We handled several projects for our global Customers on HVAC projects. We can work from design drawings, demolition drawings and new additions. We follow Client/National standards to create these drawings.

Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs):

Jytra Engineering Services can create new P&ID diagrams based on equipment and valve details along with process sequence diagram. We can also create P&IDs for existing plants in various domains like chemical plants, process plants, etc.

Tool Design:

Our designers have over 20 years of experience in tool design and manufacture. Our specialization includes Jigs & Fixtures, Press Tools, Injection Moulds, Gauges etc. We undertake the design, build and tryout activities independently

Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T):

Jytra Engineering Services has hands on experience on derivation and application of GD&T to engineering drawings. We can follow either ASME or ISO standard of applying GD&T.

Value Engineering and Value Analysis (VA/VE):

Value is simply defined as the ratio of function and cost. The product value should be as high as possible compared to its competition to stay in market. Jytra Engineering Services can carefully study your existing product and make necessary design enhancements such as geometry changes, material changes, parts reduction, mechanism change etc. in order to increase the product value.

New Product Development:

Today's competitive market demands shrinking product life cycles and development time. Jytra has been developing new products since its inception for various global Clients. All designs will be supplied to clients along with working prototypes so that they can physically see and test the product before starting the production.

Murali Krishna M. (Founder & Managing Director):

A Post Graduate Engineer in Tool, Die & Mould Design (PGTD) from Central Institute of Tool Design, Hyderabad. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Chartered Engineer - AMIE) from The Institution of Engineers (India), Kolkata and a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering (AMIIM) from The Indian Institute of Metals (IIM), Kolkata. He was the recipient of State Rank, Gold Medal and several Awards from Government agencies.

Murali Krishna started his career as an Engineer Trainee (ET) at M/s.Tata Motors Ltd., Jamshedpur (Formerly known as Tata Engineering & Locomotive Company Ltd.-Telco) where he served for 5 years. Later he joined Satyam Venture Engineering Services Pvt. Ltd., Secunderabad where he worked for more than 9 years where he served upto the position of "Head - Center of Excellence (COE)". Murali Krishna has worked in Detroit, USA for over 4 years at TRW Automotive, Detroit, USA.

Murali Krishna has strong skills in Product Design, GD&T, VA/VE and PLM tools. He has authored more than 30 technical books which are being circulated in Andhra Pradesh State. He has also published several papers in various technical magazines like Metal News.

Pradeep Reddy N. (Director):

A Graduate from The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Chennai in Electronics & Communication Engineering Discipline in 1974. Later he pursued his MS (Computer Science) from USA.

Mr.Pradep is widely recognized as one of the pioneer of the Information Technology revolution in India. He has been at the forefront of Information Technology in India since 1982. His career spans over 30 years and three continents. Pradeep Reddy is a proven information technology innovator who knows how to drive productivity and produce results using the offshore model.

Pradeep Reddy started his career at the Carnegie-Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA, where he headed the Hardware Group at PERQ Systems, a pioneer in commercial workstations, before returning to India. Pradeep Reddy occupied the position of Managing Director at OMC Computers in India, where he helped develop pioneering CAD/CAM and simulation products. Pradeep Reddy headed OMC when it grew to a 400+ person company and an acknowledged leader in CAD/CAM. Currently he is the Director at Jytra Engineering Services Pvt. Ltd., Info-sun Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and Intersoft International Pvt. Ltd.
