Innovation is the key thing in new product development. Our customer has come up with a new concept of making an instant photo frame assembly which can be bought from stationery shops and add the photo or document to it within minutes. Jytra Engineering Services has taken up this project right from concept development, product design and injection mould design. During the concept stage, thermo-coal and plastic lamination samples were made with the help of customer to visualize the product. Cost of the end product was another important requirement in the project. Cost was fixed by the customer before starting the design so that he can comfortably market the product. Also, the threat of duplication will be less as the product cost is already optimized using Value Engineering techniques. 3D assembly was created using Unigraphics NX software and mould design is also completed in 3D as well as 2D. The total duration of this project is 3 weeks.
